In the fall of 2014, ABR Systems Group Founder Allen Riley was invited to attend the local chapter of Business Network International (BNI). BNI is a worldwide business referral organization with more than 7,500 chapters and 200,000 members worldwide. At that first meeting, Riley was introduced to Marsha Wyzykowski, co-owner of the Southern Kentucky franchise of both ServiceMaster and Merry Maids.
At that first introduction, Wyzykowski expressed the need to tidy up some areas within the company’s IT environment. Their franchise agreement had some tight requirements to ensure ServiceMaster customers are being serviced in a professional and timely manner. In addition, since their computers contain a lot of insurance and property-related information for their customers, the security of the systems was of great concern.
Within the week, the ABR staff was on-site evaluating the IT environment for the company and presented a comprehensive proposal for the on-going support of ServiceMaster and Merry Maids. Surprisingly, the proposal was going to provide more services at a lower cost to the business. Handshakes were shared, and ABR took over as the IT service provider for Wyzykowski.
ABR continues to provide these services to this ServiceMaster and Merry Maids franchisee. In addition, Wyzykowski has chosen to purchase additional Dell hardware and services from ABR, as an extension of their original agreement. There have also been opportunities for ABR to assist ServiceMaster in their disaster restoration services, recovering the digital pictures and files for homeowners that have suffered fire damage.
