In the winter of 2016, ABR was contacted by Chad Webb and Jason Heflin, co-owners of Caribou Ventures, needing complete small business IT strategy consulting.
Caribou Ventures is a real estate company, located in Bowling Green, Ky., that’s dedicated to providing small business owners with an affordable and creative workspace. Along with four other businesses, Caribou Ventures calls the Suites at 410 home — an 8-unit office building located downtown at 410 E. 10th Ave.
Following a tenant’s referral, Webb and Heflin reached out to Allen Riley of ABR Systems Group and told him their vision for the building. Riley then completed a thorough walk-through of the space so he could fully understand the building’s unique structural needs. Hours later, Riley sent Webb and Heflin multiple quotes with various price points that were aligned with Caribou Venture’s network support budget. From there, Webb says they selected the quote, moved forward in building renovations, and ABR took it from there.
“Allen’s team came in to our Suites at 410 office building concept, created a master plan for our network, oversaw the cabling process, and installed firewalls and Wi-Fi,” Heflin said. “His team was efficient and professional. Anyone looking for networking in Bowling Green should take a look at ABR, they are top notch.”
Within 30 days, ABR had installed an entire computer network support system in the 125-year-old building. Riley and his team ran Ethernet throughout the entire building, mounted ports in each office suite, installed a Dell SonicWALL, and set-up a complete Wi-Fi network. Caribou Ventures also chose to purchase all other equipment from ABR that was needed to support a network in the building. Webb said once the set-up was complete, ABR tested the system, and they were ready to go.
“They were very easy to work with and very professional,” Webb said. “Their quality is high, which as a small business is very important to us.”
